Taste of Kay started during the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic. I believe that this was the perfect time to start my business because food options were either pick up or take out. My catering business started off as a “popup” business. This worked so well for me that I eventually started to cater bigger events. My first event that I ever catered was a parking lot party. I made Rasta Pasta and sold out!! I was shocked but I wasn’t surprised because I knew this was my gift.

My cooking technique ranges between cooking and baking. I learned how to bake in my culinary program and slowly have begun to appreciate it more and more. I have grown to love baking a little more. With baking I can be more creative and open with possibilities. With cooking my love is not being precise, not measuring my ingredients.

My menu consists of all of my specialties. Rasta Pasta, my first love would be my meal of expertise. It put the staple to my business. My Rasta Pasta was one of the first meals I started to sell when business became up and running.

Homemade cookies, another specialty! My cookies come in different flavors and shapes. They’re creative flavors grasp the attention of others on social media. Business has grown so much over the months on social media, especially TikTok and Instagram. These platforms have allowed my business to come across those who don’t even live in the same state as me. I am super grateful and honored to be able to experience these blessings that the universe has brought upon me.
